Achievement Medals

Provide recognition to junior enlisted and JOs for their service and achievement in noncombat activity.

Only the Navy Achievement Medal can be awarded for meritorious achievement in a combat or noncombat situation. In such cases for combat, a “V” device is denoted for heroism in conflict.

Achievement medals are most common and 20% of military have been recognized with an achievement medal.
